Best Day Foundation was founded in Santa Cruz, CA, in March 2008 by Brooks Lambert and Max Montgomery, two long-time Ride-a-Wave volunteers who wished to share a similar program with other communities.
This foundation helps young adults and children with special needs build their self-esteem and confidence through different adventure activities that work to:
- Push their limits
- Expand their potential
- Reinforce their different achievements
- Connect them with diverse populations within their community
They work with communities across the country to offer special days to children with special needs, like a day at the beach. To keep the programs safe and self-sufficient, they also offer training, support, business resources, and other back-end services.
